Bread of the Dead
I wanted a tune in the style of Roy Buchanan’s The Messiah Will Come or Frank Zappa’s Black Napkins for our live album (we’ve played them many times!). One day a few months ago, the melody came into my head one morning and I quickly picked up my Dagmar and recorded it into my iPhone.
Scott, Paul, and I rehearsed it once and then played it live in the studio with Kevin on Oberhiem OB-X, which is what you hear here, thanks guys, you rock! Terry Brown did an amazing mix as always and Ray Montford did a great job mastering, thanks to Stephen Parry for the photos!
This song is for my dad, today would have been his 89 birthday.
